Malo – Malo (1972, BS 2584)

Malo’s self-titled 1972 LP on Warner Bros., catalog BS 2584, with the record graded VG+.

Formed in San Francisco and featuring guitarist Jorge Santana, Malo brought Latin percussion and horn-driven arrangements into a rock setting on their debut. “Suavecito” became the album’s signature song, but its broader mix of extended grooves, jazz inflections, and soulful vocals gives the record a distinctive place in early-1970s Latin rock. This BS 2584 copy has a VG+ record grade and offers collectors a strong example of the band’s breakthrough release.
