Billy Joel’s Glass Houses is a 1980 Columbia Records LP, catalog FC 36384; this copy’s record is VG+.

By 1980, Billy Joel had mastered grand, piano-led songwriting, but Glass Houses turns toward compact guitars, brisk rhythms, and a sharper new-wave edge. The opening crash of “You May Be Right” sets the tone, while “It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me” plays with pop’s changing fashions and “Don’t Ask Me Why” gives the album a lighter, Latin-tinged counterpoint. This VG+ record is a distinct copy for collectors who want Joel’s punchier side, with the sleeve left ungraded rather than assumed.
