Arcadia’s So Red the Rose is the 1985 studio project by Duran Duran’s Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, and Roger Taylor, released on Capitol Records as SV 12428.
Built in the space between Duran Duran’s arena-pop peak and the group’s next chapter, Arcadia pushed toward a more ornate, atmospheric sound, with “Election Day” at its center. Grace Jones, Sting, David Gilmour, and Herbie Hancock all appear, making the album a richly staffed snapshot of mid-’80s art-pop ambition.
