Righteous Rooster’s Fowl Play, released in 2024 on Shifting Paradigm Records, catalog number SP211, offered here on sealed vinyl.
Chicago organ trio Righteous Rooster brings Henry Dickhoff’s organ, Kenny Reichert’s electric guitar, and Luke Sagadin’s drums together on a debut built around six original compositions. Drawing on the organ-trio tradition and influences including Soulive, Sam Yahel, and Goldings/Bernstein/Stewart, Fowl Play connects jazz interplay with funk-driven groove. The organ–guitar–drums lineup places it in a distinctive corner of contemporary jazz, making this sealed copy a fitting addition for collectors of modern organ-trio records and jazz-funk.
