Pearls Before Swine’s The Use of Ashes is a 1970 Reprise Records LP, catalog RS 6442, graded VG+.

Led by songwriter Tom Rapp, Pearls Before Swine brought an introspective, literary sensibility to late-1960s and early-1970s folk-rock. The Use of Ashes continues that thoughtful, atmospheric approach, pairing delicate acoustic passages with the group’s distinctive psychedelic-folk character. This VG+ copy is a compelling choice for collectors drawn to the more adventurous edge of the Reprise-era folk underground.
