Jesse Johnson’s 1985 album Jesse Johnson's Revue on A&M, catalog SP-6-5024, with the record graded VG+.
After his work as guitarist for The Time, Jesse Johnson stepped out with a solo debut that carried the Minneapolis sound into his own spotlight. The record pairs clipped guitar funk with drum-machine snap and R&B hooks, including “Be Your Man,” giving collectors a direct line from The Time’s era-defining sound to Johnson’s solo voice. This SP-6-5024 copy has a VG+ record grade and belongs in a collection of mid-1980s funk.
