Heart – Little Queen (1977, JR 34799)

Heart’s Little Queen is a 1977 Portrait Records LP, catalog JR 34799; this copy has a scuff on side 1 and plays VG.

After Dreamboat Annie introduced Heart’s mix of hard rock and acoustic folk, Ann and Nancy Wilson pushed that contrast further on Little Queen. “Barracuda” opens with a galloping guitar figure and Ann’s ferocious vocal, while the title track and quieter passages show how readily the band could shift texture without losing its bite. That range makes this a revealing snapshot of Heart forging its own place in late-’70s rock; the side 1 scuff and VG playback are noted so collectors can weigh the music against the condition of this particular copy.
